Attempt to murder comes under the category of grave offence and hence is cognizable and non-compoundable. Further, if the FIR has been registered for the same and now matter has been settled between the parties, the parties can move a petition in the Hon’ble High Court for quashing of the FIR. Thereafter if the Hon’ble High Court orders in the favour then the fir and all other proceedings emanating thereform can be quashed.

see i need to see the charge sheet and what is the stage of your trial. there is no such thing called necessary trial in case it can be settled. if you can cure his disease, i assure you to get out of 302 charges, even if we have to go supreme Court. not to worry brother.
