Dear client ! hon'ble apex court is very clear about 498-a IPC. As brother in law (nandoi) doesn't come under the ambit of the aforesaid section. As far as present dowry case is concerned you both Live seperatly and have no touch with your mateimonial home (sasuraal).
So you approach before high court for quashing of f.i.r. or if it is a complaint case then under 482 cr.pc. after summoning.
High court shall give you relief if you are able to satisfy court that you and your wife have no touch with matrimonial home.

Hi as per your query I would like to suggest you that in case your sister in law has filed an false case of dowry and if the first information report has been lodged against you and your family members then before police may arrest you go to high court and plead for stay of your arrest during the course of investigation otherwise you have to suffer the imprisonment then talk to any lawyer
