What to do if the buyer of bike asks for RC in case of accident

I sold my bike to one of my friend in 2010 but I misplaced the sign letter and he met with an accident 1 week back amd the injured person has filed a legal case of 3 lac rupees, my friend is asking for the RC as it jas been misplaced by him, he is saying that its just for releasing the bike and he would take care of the case however the bike is still on my sister's name.what should I do

Listen there is no any lawfully act for selling of any vehicle without transferring the RC and ownership so as per your case is concerned if u have make the process of transfer of ownership then you do not need to worry unless all of the accidental liabilities will be automatically yours

The legal position is that your sister in liable to pay claim because that bike is registered on the name of your sister . And secondly your friend has no right to release bike from court and court will not release bike unless your sister applies for release of that bike.
