Sir, if you could help me know about the exact procedure to apply for compensation in cases of accident. Though I have a mild injury but worried about the future of the youths.
you can claim for compensation for an injury attributed to the act of hit and run case under civil law...apart from this you can seek remedy under criminal law.....you can approach to any lawyer of your district for the needful ..

you have to obtain the copy of the FIR, if made . Then along with the all relevant documents of the offending vehicle (I presume accident caused by vehicle, though you have not mention details) you can file Motor Accident Claim case before the Motor Accident Claim Tribunal along with all the bills , cash memo, prescriptions etc.
