More than 2 years ago i was in business with a guy whom i met through a common friend. He invited me in his startup company as a employee as well as a profit sharing partner on the basis of the amount of business i bring to him. He also advised me bringing my colleague with me from the previous company. After a month in business, payment dispute started to erupt between everyone. On one day my colleagues and i decided to take things in our hand and took whatever valuable things we could from the company as per our money due. No paper work was involved as it was a stratup and only my address was known to the guy as I lived nearby. When the guy came to know of the incident he filed an FIR against us and told us to return the item we took, i returned the valuables i had but my colleagues didn't. I will need some more information. However based on what you have said, as far as consequences of FIR are concerned, it depends on the sections, the police also has the power to arrest you.
It will be advised that you seek some kind of protective order from the Court.

You hav Ccommitted non bailable offence under section 379, 380 ipc which are non bailaible. Charges against you will be mentioned in the FIR. you should contact a lawyer and arrange for your bail , long case may start against you better you compromise with the person who reported against you.

The issue is serious. You must file an Application seeking Anticipatory Bail. As per their version you have committed theft, however since you were a partner in that startup therefore those things equally belonged to you therefore the same would not amount to theft.
