What after getting bail on 306 and 498a

03-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Hi, my wife committed suicide in her parent's home and her family filed and false FIR against me for abatement. I have been charged with 306 and 498a, police arresred me and I got jail for 5 days. After 5 days I got bail. After bail it's 2.5 months now and i have not heard anything from police or court. What's the procedure after getting bail, when this proceeding will end. I am in tension about this situation now as I am not sure what will happen tomorrow. I have also filed petition in high court for quashing but have not heard from that side also and first summon was not received by my in laws as they left their hometown. Please confirm for how many days/months this bail will be vaild? What happens if police will not file a chargesheet in court. What happen if for quashing if there will be no appearing by in laws against high court summon.

In case an FIR lodged against anyone, case investigation will start and after investigation there are two possibilities charge sheet or final report. In case charge sheet submitted than trial will start, it will take several years. In case Final report submitted, then complaint may file protest petition against final report.
