Theft of premium bike accessories from gated society

Hi,nI’m living in a gated society where my bike was parked and some one stole my bike’s premium accessories. After complaining to society office they mentioned the CCTVs are not working, security guard may be fall asleep and all (giving such silly excuses). As I’m paying the society Maintaince charges it’s their responsibility to ensure proper security & safety for which they failed. As a result can I claim compensation from them or refrain for paying few months society Maintaince charges to compensate my amount? Plz suggest.

Well you can refrain from paying the Maintenance to them or you can file a case before the Consumer Forum on the ground of Deficiency of Services to seek monetary compensation in lakhs from your Society.

Approach your near by advocate . Discuss your problem with them . And accordingly they will guide you regarding the legal solution. And Tell them to send notice to the society Manager regarding the matter under The Maharashtra Co-operative Society Act .
