The accused opted for voluntary surrender to the court instead of surrendering to the police under C

17-Jul-2024 (In Criminal Law)
If an accused in a fraud, forgery, or impersonation case surrenders to the court instead of reporting to the investigating officer as per notice, does this imply admission of guilt? Why would an accused choose to surrender to court rather than report to the police as directed? How does the accused's surrender to court alter the course of the case? How can I obtain the statement of the accused or details from the court regarding the voluntary surrender under CRPC?

Dear Sir, If Accused surrender before the Court then he will be sent to judicial custody. Then IO can file application for handing over the Accused for police custody for further investigation. Thus, his statement will be recorded by the Police during the police custody only. Thus, along with charge sheet such Statement will be filed before the Court.
