Tape used over the expiry print date

23-Apr-2023 (In Criminal Law)

Seller used a tape over already printed expiry date. Mfg date 26/09/2022 and I bought the product on 27/01/2023. Expiry date on tape read ‘bear before 4 months from packaging’ and the original print read ‘best before 20 days from manufacturing’. They tried to shut me up by giving me a gift card and few edibles. What to do here?

hi if the seller had sold you a product which is out of the expiry date and that the such acts amounts to unfair trade practice and deficiency of service and then you could file a consumer complaint in forum seeking compensation
