Steps to minimize punishment for hurting someone?

actually my brother and his four friends commenting to group of girls on the day of lohri and yesterday two friends of my brother fighting with brother of those girls and that party file a case against my brother and his friends . today they surrender and now they are in police custody . what are the possible steps please suggest me.

Get the copy of F.I.R and thereafter engage advocate to pursue the matter and filed bail application for the persons in custody of police and if some are not in custody of police and named in F.I.R filed their bail application as well and immediately.

file bail applications, firstly thereafter file a cross complaint against them, if the concerned police do do that,file a complaint to concerned ssp, if police didnt do anything then file a complaint U/S 156(3) cr.p.c ,in this court will direct the concerned [police to registered an FIR after inquiry.

You have not stated the under which section they have been charged whether the sections relating to offence against women has been added or not. In case there is injuries to the boys only and are not serious then they will get bail and the challan will be presented after completion of investigation. Best course for you people is to compromise the matter.
