Son beating her mother for property

Sir After the demise of my father in law property transfered to mother and a son. Behaviour of son and his wife is rude and abusive. So mother in law gift some property to her daughters. And living alone there. But his Son always abusing and beating her mother as earlier. What legal action should I take to stop this violence?
