Should we file contempt, recovery of money or push for quashing in SC?

26-Jun-2024 (In Criminal Law)
Can a contempt case be filed if a matter was settled in a 420 case and terms fulfilled? COMPL is now not giving statement of settlement in HC. Can we seek recovery of the amount paid against settlement and fight the 420 case on merits or is there any option to force the mediation agreement through HC/ SC? Presently, the HC judge says that he can't do anything to force settlement. Though the settlement was insisted by the DC judge while giving me AB. Settlement is also mentioned in AB order.

Dear Client In case you have sought for quashing of the FIR basis a settlement and the complainant is refusing to adhere to the terms after being paid as per the settlement agreement. You have a good case for contempt. Recently in ANURAG GOEL v. CHHAVI AGARWAL the DHC imposed a fine for not following the terms of settlement. Will need to discuss in further detail to guide you to the right steps. Feel free to get in touch.
