Sharing of cctv footage on whatsup

My two neighbors houses are opposite side of the road , quarreled one midnight recently and one has beaten the other. The beaten neighbor called me on mobile and asked me to share the CCTV footage of my house cctv cameras facing his house on whatsup. As my house was door locked. I went through the cctv footage, but no incident of crime was recorded , except for peoples movement between houses and also the faces were not clear. will there be legal issues for me , if i share cctv footage

No legal issue arises if you share CCTV footage honestly when requested, especially since it does not clearly show any crime. To stay safer, share it formally if Police or authorities ask, or give it directly to them instead of through WhatsApp. Keep a copy and note why you shared it, to avoid misuse.

sharing the full CCTV footage is not a crime if if the police ask you for it it is your bound duty to provide them with CCTV footage for any purpose however you also have the Liberty to refuse and not to give me information and remain silent
