Regarding a taking back a FIR and its repercussions

30-Nov-2023 (In Criminal Law)
my sister is getting unwanted calls & and WhatsApp from different no.s her office pics where she pic (normal working) being sent on WhatsApp this continues for 15 days, so we move to register a FIR. Now the person is still unknown for us but police say he is just a mental unstable person and as he stopped calling and messages so we write in an application that we don't want to proceed if the person do it again so we called in court to nullify the FIR does it can have any repercussions?

No It does not have any repercussions to withdraw the FIR, unless and until you want to pursue it further. As in future if that person again tried to harass your family, you have to file a fresh complaint.
