Reg: Can we apply petition for getting Cheated by girlfriend

I am in love with girl for more than 8 years. But now after picking the marriage topic. She said no now due to different reasons. If I give petition, how that will help me and if the girl give counter petition what happens in that case?

If she has financially exploited you on the promise of marrying you and then if she has dumped you. You shall file a cheating case against her. But unfortunately our police departments even don't take actions against hard-core crimes. Thus after giving a complaint via registered post with AD card , wait for 15 days and if the police fails to act, write a letter to SP if it's a district and COP if it's a city. With all these letters you shall approch the magistrate under 156(3) of CRPC pleading him to direct the police to file an FIR. She may either come forward to give back all that she might have looted or she may file a counter case. Decide if it's worth your time and money going after court and police station. Move on, is my advice.
