Receiving threatening calls how to get protection from police

Received a threatening call from a person who lives near my location. I am contractor and now i need protection from the police. What should i do to apply for the same?

In the instance, indeed you try to record the calls by affixing recording device to your land line phone/ download record software in mobile phone and with this evidence, file complaint with your local police station under Section 66 A (b) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and get FIR registered against the offender.

Record the phone call for the proof, and ask him the details what he wants after this go to the near by police station which comes under your residence station limit and sumbit all the prove a case will be registred.

You can request for protection from Police station with the name and address of person who is threatening you detailing the nature of threat. you can also send a mail to the Superintendent of Police of your district.
You can also approach the court for protection by filing a private complaint in case police do not act on your complaint.. please note unless you file a complaint, police cannot help you.
