Property agent threatened to register FIR crpc 420

28-May-2024 (In Criminal Law)
I sold a property recently for which a RERA registered broker reached out to me on behalf of buyer. He created a whatsapp group for communication related to property transfer between me & buyer but no written communication happened regarding his commission. Later I got to know from buyer (over phone) that he is taking 1% of sale value from her. Now he has sent a whatsapp msg threatening to file FIR with 420, demanding 2% with interest. Please help

Dear Sir, It seems he is not authorised agent and registered broker as per RERA. Please check in status in RERA website. Further, you may say that you are not willing to pay his commission. Normally, the agents have to be paid with some commission. If you are not paid any advance then withdraw from the contract.

Suppose if he files and FIR against you, as far as the limited facts mentioned above there is good grounds to approach High court and get the FIR quashed, and the above said limited facts prima facie dosent make up any good case for the complainant, In detail facts would be required for detailed opinion
