I want to know the procedure to get the copy of an FIR which was filed 3-4 years back in mumbai , i am neither the accuse nor victim .
I am an anonymous person from other state.
you got to apply for certified copy of the FIR to the çoncerned court and a third party affidavit will have to file. In person it would be difficult for you to obtain so better to talk with a local advocate to get this work done...

Well, you can file a RTI under the RTI Act, 2005 to get the Certified Copy of such a FIR filed 3 to 4 years aback. You can submit RTI Application to the concerned Public Information Officer, i.e, PIO either Online or Offline.
