My father got into a property agreement to sell his property in chandigarh.The buyer did not honour date to fulfill all payment and instead filed a frivolous FIR against him.Criminal case is going on in Chandigarh against him.I wanted to check if it is required by law that he has to be present for each hearing or the lawyer can represent him since he stays in Delhi , also is there a provision that he could get the case transferred to Delhi instead.
Hey your father has to appear on every date which is mandate in Criminal cases but if he is not well you can file exemption application on a particular date.

Criminal case is difficult to transfer in Delhi. But permanent exemption of presence can be sought with quashing of F.I.R on certain merits. whole proceedings of Quashing and exemption will be in Punjab and Haryana Highcourt at Chandigarh.
