Posting My number On Someone's Facebook Timeline

My friends' wife threatened him yesterday that she will circulate my number and I'll start getting calls from random people. She then posted my phone number on her Facebook timeline. What are my legal options against her?

you can take action against it but first you have to tell the complete story behind it. For the time being it's only about that someone is misusing your number and if it's that then in what ways or someone taking revenge of something. so you have to clear it more on your part.

First of all rather than going legally you should serve her a legal notice and in that notice you can write to either remove your number from the social media or face legal action which will be at her own risk. If there is no positive response then you can always forward a complaint in writing to the police station according to your jurisdiction.

You can send a complaint to the concerned SHO, ACP and DCP regarding the same. I am sure that will pretty much solve the issue. If you have text messages, call records or any other evidences do attach it along with your complaint.
