Police officer recorded my video for not wearing helmet and published

26-Mar-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I forget my helmet at home and just go out to buy vegetables near my home. A group of high rank police officers with camera stopped me and a SP shout on me and recorded my video and published on YouTube on his personal channel. Although I stopped and ready to pay challan.. Still they behave like that and I am really feel so insulted. I just want to know is it legally correct or not.

no it is legally not correct. if a public servant on duty does all this...he is clearly crossing his lines and he his not entitled to do all this. he can definitely do what is under his power like issuing a challan but other than that it's just pure humiliation and you can take legal remedy for sure

yes it is correct by the concerned authority. if you have suffered any personal loss then you can file a complaint for that and go for the defamation. It is advisable that be connected to a lawyer to get the complaint handled positively. your intention to pay the challan does not matter, if challan was issued and you wanted to pay that then there will be a complaint
