Police destroyed the vigilance report obtained under RTI

Vigilance report and many other documents obtained under RTI states that boy is innocent and no such crime has been done. Court asked Police to verify the documents & after elapse of 5 years Police said that the said documents had been destroyed by the order of DCP and hence cannot verify the documents. Now shall we request MM to call the vigilance officer to verify the same ? Or MM will not consider our request & shall frame the charges without any proper evidence. What we have to do please advice. Sir it is a cross case and in our case the charges had been framed against the opposite party Pl advice what to do?
Hi, you can again file RTI applications and get the certified copies of the documents. When the court asked the police to verify the documents, it is the duty of the police to verify that. Now, you can file applications for verification by vigilance officer itself. If the documents are verified and brought on record, your case will be strong.
