Payment refund dispute in software work

I worked for a client in USA. After months he rejected the work and asked for refund. When I denied then he hired someone (advocate) to send me notice and register complaint in local police station under section 420, 120. I have given all evidences to police station and they closed the complaint that it's civil matter. Now I got call from advocate for nagotiate at 70% refund otherwise proceed litigation and file complaint in ambassy. What is option for me and what further they can do?

hi did you received any notice from advocate and if need to see the contents of the notice received and if they are proceeding legally then you could defend such cases filed by him and that you are not liable to pay
