Original suit filed with my forged signature in pro note

Opposite party had filed a money suit against me with a forgery promissory note with my signature forged. The same was confirmed by private forensic lab as well. Can i take a criminal action against the opposite party? Police are not action because of the pending civil suit. How to proceed in this matter
yes you can file a cheating complaint against the accused person. lodge a police complaint against the accused , if the police is not taking conginanze of offence you can approach the jurisdiction criminal court to register the FIR.

If the civil suit is dismissed , then police can take action. because , the lab report should be scrutinized by the court. If court finds it wrong and bogus report , how can police register the FIR. That's why they keeping the matter idle
