One case on similar section is closed but the other same case is open

I had an accident case in 2016, we had to discuss with the opposite party and resolved that case in 2019, but he has opened another case during 2016 and that one is still pending and its for the same offence, and its in notice unready stage, how can we go about closing this case, kindly advice, thanks

If it was an incidence related to accident then there are two cases that may arise out of it. One is a criminal case under sections of Indian penal code for rash driving etc and another one is a private case that the injured files before tribunal for motor accident claim. Therefore it seems the other case is related to this compensation.

you can go for quashing of FIR in the bombay high court by mutual consent if the other party is ready and if the other party is not ready and then on merits you can go for the same that is quashing and get your FIR quashed accordingly and can close the case permanently
