NOC for passport renewal from court where the case is pending

Passport office has asked for me to get an NOC from trial court for passport renewal(chandigarh)where my criminal case is against state,I am just a signee witness to a property deal of my father in law which did not mature, buyer filed a false complaint against me that I influenced him to buy a property with unclear title.I applied for NOC at the court ,police has written to court that NOC should not be given .What remedy i have as court keeps shifting dates and not giving NOC

you need to directly file writ in the High Court. where police will come with the relevant reports and give proof infornt of judge if they did not succeed the court will give you NOC. it will not be any use to wait in district court to get NOC

you can file a writ petition in the Delhi High court for issuance of directions to the passport office for renewing your passport. you may share all the relevant documents for further consideration and advice on this matter.

If no prudent response have been received from the police or the NOC is not granted by their Dilly dallying attitude. simply approach the Hon'ble High court under its inherent powers and it will be granted in 2-3 hearings. urge the court to consider your capacity as a witness in the matter and minimal involvement or no involvement. reading the facts that you have mentioned, it is also advisable to file a quashing petition before the Hon'ble High court to get your name removed from the case.
