No action by police after FIR for bribery

My father in law is a grocery store business man. A person who lives near by the shop has been steeling since 2 years from my gather in laws gowdon. We have cctv footage of it. We registered an fir in police station. No action has been taken by the police. We r afraid that the person bribed the police. What action should the police take I this matter. And if the action is not taken by police what can we do?

You need to approach the magistrate having jurisdiction of that particular police station and get an order directing the police to register the FIR and carry out investigation. So also, if you already have the cctv footage etc, you could yourself prosecute the accused and lead evidence.

Kindly complain to the ACP a about this incident and request to direct the Police authorities to conduct the requisite action as required according to FIR. Also you can complain to the nearest Magistrate.

fist you given written complaint to concern police stn , DYSP & Sp . wait for few day .in no action taken by police then file the private complain in court ,where your father in law gowdon situated.
your case is strong defiantly court order 156(3) and given direction to police to file complaint
