03-Mar-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I broke up with my ex a month ago due to compatibiltiy issues that cannot be resolved. Now he is texting me that he is depressed and wants to end his life. I tried convincing him but he is dropping text that he will end his life. I cannot be with him so would I be accountable even though I am not replying to him and havent said anything negative to him.

If such is the case as you mentioned above in the query then you must write down a request letter to the concerned senior police officer of your jurisdiction, explaining everything about how you broke up with your boyfriend and now he is threatening you to end his life and not listening to you even when you humbly requested him to not act anything wrong.

You must immediately report his depressive character to the police station of your area and pen down in conclusion that if he does anything wrong or try to harm anyone then I will not be responsible. In that way you will be safe from any of the mishaps from his side. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

In case he leaves suicide note stating your name than police May implicate you in this case. It’s better you sumbit one apprehension intimation at the concerned police station in this regard and you can hire an advocate to draft the same. This will protect you in many ways. Meanwhile, don’t ignore your ex completely rather keep in talking to him in positive way and instead tell him that you are not fit for him. All the best And b in touch

there is no way you can be held responsible for any negative action he might take. please be aware that these tactics are just for the sake of getting a positive response from your end. if he is troubling you in person then you can file a case against him or inform the police about that.

In this case, you must act promptly by filing a police complaint against your ex mentioning that he is suicidal and is threatening you of the same. Remember, attempt to commit suicide is a punishable offence. A well drafted police complaint with the help of an experienced Advocate would solve your problem. Good luck!
