mpokket Harassment: Seeking Legal Options for Unwanted Calls

Hello, my friend took a loan from Mpokket app and used my number as a reference without my permission. Now, he is avoiding payment and Mpokket keeps calling me daily despite my repeated requests to stop. I've made it clear I have no relation to him, yet they continue. Can I claim compensation for this harassment without reason, or take legal action against them? I seek advice on dealing with this situation.

In India, drinking alcohol in public places is illegal, and this includes inside a car when it's on a public road. Courts have clarified that a car on a public road is treated as a public place. So, even if you're just a passenger and not the driver, consuming alcohol inside the vehicle is not allowed. Doing so can lead to legal trouble, as the law applies to everyone in the car, not just the person driving.

your 1 friend has taken loan from your pocket without permission . now he is not paying his loan band not receiving call you don't have any relation with best for you and claim compensation that without any action taken to discuss

Send them a legal notice, as this is a peculiar case where you’re being harassed without you not being remotely involved in this case. This should do their homework and verify the phone number, before they make any recovery related call.
