Mother in law didn't returns my gold jewellery

27-Nov-2023 (In Criminal Law)
After my marriage my mother in law asked my gold jewellery through my husband.. I also accepted to help them and I gave my gold jewellery.. Later in the middle she emotionally asked my jewellery when my husband is not at home. She tells me that she will return my jewellery within a week. But she didn't return anything. It's almost one year passed, I asked her many times but she didn't respond to me properly. In the beginning I'm so kind now I lost my control.

hi alocious here, from your query raised I can well understand that there has been a criminal breach of trust on the side of your mother in law, we can address the issue by giving a police complaint, seeking for the return of jewels immediately, However also consider the emotions and family bond involved before proceeding. thank you

you have not stated whether you are living with your husband or not if you are not living with your husband then what is your matrimonial status whether you want to continue with your husband as spouse or not or whether you have taken any steps for reunion if no such situations or in your matrimonial life you can file a case against your husband for return of article then the court fee is very normal when you are cleaning against your mother in law you can file a domestic violence complaint that also you need not to pay any Court fee for the return of articles you can also give a police complaint and in the police station through the police you can also get back them articles
