Your matter amounts to offences such as rape on false promise of marriage, if the intention was dishonest from the beginning, cheating, and if he misrepresented himself as a Colonel then cheating by impersonation. Also you should immediately preserve all chats, screenshots, and call logs, verify his real identity, and file an FIR at the nearest police station or on cybercrime portal as the entire transaction originated through a matrimonial app.

1. Using false identities – posing as a colonel on matrimonial apps like Jeevan Sathi and sending marriage requests. 2. Fraudulent solicitation – inviting someone to your home with the promise of marriage. 3. Sexual intercourse – becoming intimate with someone under the false promise of marriage (which in Indian law can constitute a crime under cheating, misrepresentation, and in many cases, sections 376(2)(n) / 417 / 420 of the Indian Penal Code, depending on the circumstances). 4. False promise of marriage – abusing trust by making false promises of marriage. Possible Legal Sections (IPC) The following sections may apply, as you mentioned: 1. IPC 417 – Cheating Fraudulently gaining trust by providing false information/identity. 2. IPC 420 – Cheating & Dishonestly Inducing Delivery of Property This section applies if money, gifts, or any other benefit were obtained fraudulently. 3. IPC 468/471 – Forgery / Fake Identity If she presented a false “Colonel” or forged documents. 4. IPC 354 (if there was mental or physical pressure) Outraging a woman's modesty. 5. IPC 376(2)(n) – Rape on false promise of marriage
