Lend loan to Fiancee now threatening to leave me if ask for money

I met a boy at matrimonial site and got engaged and all the expenses were born by me, I also lent him 3 lakh rupees and now he is refusing to pay half of it and I have to pay EMI of the loan. when I ask him to pay he threatening me to break this marriage. Is their any law which protect me and can I file a case against him for cheating
Break the engagement. Immediately. Also do tell if you have written record of the loan that you gave to him.
You may file a criminal complaint against him but you'll have to substantiate the same with proper evidences.

This is a complicated one. Howsoever, let him harass your for divorce. Tell him that that in divorce, he will end up paying you more than 3 lacs. Having said that, i suggest you go to the police and lodge a complaint with regard to the same. Its unlikely if the police will register an FIR in your case. However, i can't give a potent advice unless i see your loan papers etc and know further about the situation. Kindly seek advice/help of a lawyer. Regards
