While Rhea was put on an extensive media trial and she was going through investigation, she should have immediately approached court of law for anticipatory bail, that she didn't. A big mistake from her legal team.

Now that she is been arrested, it's because she was found to be procuring drugs which is an offence under NDPS Act, a stringent law. She'll get bail from high court now after rejection from sessions court mainly on the ground that no any contraband was recovered from her and whatever the allegation is against her it is related to a small quantity of drugs which is a bailable offence. What prosecution is pressing for is the Sec 27 A of NDPS which attracts more punishment and therefore her advocate will have to convince court that prima facie this section isn't attracted against her and even if for the sake argument then there is no need to keep her behind the bars considering a fact that she is ready to face the trial and abide by all the conditions that may be imposed by the court in the event of grant of bail.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested Rhea Chakraborty for her alleged role in drugs procurement. The NCB has arrested the Bollywood actor under sections 89(c), 20(b), 27(a), 28 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). As per Media Reports, during her interrogation by the NCB, Rhea Chakraborty admitted that she was consuming not just marijuana, but also hard drugs.
