Legal advice for Denying for marriage after more than 5 years of relat

I have a relationship with a man for more than 5 years and both the families knows about it that we are going to marry. And even we have had physical relationship too. Both of our families started conversations about marriage. But now his family and he denies to marry. And his family may be forcing him to marry else where. I really don't want to file a complaint against him,or harass him but I want a suggestion if any possible way is there.
I would suggest that you should talk to him and his family to understand their problems. try to resolve the problem amicably. and settle the matter. marriage is a big decision. so there may be many social or cultural problem occurred in their family. try to understand and resolve it.

practical way is to take help of law otherwise emotional way is to talk and request that is all if you don't want to lodge complaint before the police o r take the help of law there is no other way round but you can write a friendly lawyers letter where your lawyer can request on behalf of you reconcile your relationship into marriage .
