What to do in such cases when even after providing all the access to a relative, during and after wedding ,to find out their jewellery in my home and probe other relatives for theft of jewellery? The relatives have now registered false FIR . They demanded Rs.50000 to close the case. Should we pay the amount and get the FIR closed due to the fear of losing my job opportunities?IMP -The relative claims that he lost jewellery after leaving our property, boarding the train and reached their hom

If the FIR is registered, and even if you close the case through compromise, it will become a permanent stamp on you that you are a thief because you were not acquitted by the court but you closed the case through compromise and it will be forever shown in your police records. It's better to fight till the case ends and get acquittal from the court or if the FIR is false, we can try for quashing of FIR. If the FIR gets quashed, there is no question of any records against you. If quashing is possible in your case, we can get instant relief from the High Court within 2-3 months or the trial will continue till atleast 4-5 years if you want acquittal from lower court. I can guide you regarding quashing and trial. You can contact me for further guidance.
