In civil work engineer makes corruption

If government engineer makes corruption about 5 lakh in government development work then what will happen?what will be the punishment, is definitely engineer get imprisonment or suspension or dismiss from duty or fine and how many years it took case for final judgment? After judgment is possible to rejoin his duty

any government employee take corruption it is illegal in law and if you have sufficient proof that person have recieved bribe then you can file a case against him/her and you can also inform to thier superiors to initiate action against him. he will get imprisonment if the matter is proved and he will be suspended and dismiss from the job. immediately the matter will come up till the order of the court.
