We need details about the facts n FIR sections. Whereas, Quashing can be done on merits or on the basis of compromise. On merits it’s only possible if you have conclusive evidences in your defence. Plz b in touch

Since this is not a legal question, initially I was reluctant to answer it, but I think it is necessary for every litigant to understand that the lawyer you engage must be the lawyer you trust. I hope you understand that capability of a lawyer depends on various factors including his client's trust. .You should also understand that practice of law depends on umpteen variables and you never know what you see is objectively what you think you see. Your query about 'a capable' law practitioner's fee is pretty valid, and I believe and almost know that you know that every lawyer has his own understanding of his charges with respect to a specific case. Therefore, I would suggest that you meet some lawyer through family reference at first and then you meet another through the reference of your friends, and then decide if you wish to engage either of the two, or that you need a more 'capable' lawyer'. You may also find lawyers from Bar directories.

Details are required. if no crime is made out against you then you may approach trial court for discharge or high court under section 482 for quashing of FIR. Contradictions or mistake caused by IO cannot be basis for quashing of FIR. fee is discretion of lawyer and it cannot be predicted.

Dear Client, If can be infer from the FIR and others facts that it has been filed without merit, then the sane can be challenged in the appropriate court of law. However, without seeing the copy of FIR and matrix of facts it can not be reasonably possible to comment upon. There is no hard and fast criteria for fee it depends upon case to case. You need to first have discussion with all the documents, FIR with an advocate before proceeding for quashing. thanks
