I don’t know what to do after Bond, I’m scared to go back to jail

06-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I went to jail for minor consumption, and OWI. Both class C misdemeanors. I was bonded out 13hrs later. I can barely afford a good lawyer, and my parents want me to take the public defender, but I’m scared if I do that I’ll go to jail for sure. I just don’t know what to do. And I’m scared to go back. My question to you is what should I do? What’s mr best route for this situation. Pls help!

You don't have to worry. These are a few questions I have. 1. Your exact BAC at the time you were caught. 2. Are you being prosecuted? Have you paid the penalty? Generally, one is called to the court to just pay the penalty depending on the case. 3. Imprisonments are not likely, so I need to know the exact charges in which you were sent to jail?

There is no problem if your lawyer filed bonds with genuine person or property. In case there is any fraud in filling bonds then you need to worry. Now, you are not in jail, enjoy this time and if you want more satisfaction than you need to verify the same by a new good lawyer.
