How to recover money from a person who had promised for admission

07-Dec-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I want to know, if we have separate court to contest NRI relates matters in Mumbai. If yes then where. I am a NRI residing in Kuwait. I have transferred approx 20 lakhs to a person's account who is a doctor by profession. He assured me to get my son admitted in medical college in Mumbai. Now he has taken the money and have not got my son admitted in any college nor he is returning the money back. In this case..which court should I approach in Mumbai and what remedies I can approach. pls answer.

Dear Friend
There are number of ways where an individual can seek legal action against the wrongdoer considering the nature of action which means the matter can be of civil nature.
he period of limitation for the recovery of debt is 3 years. The period of limitation runs from the date on which the debt was supposed to be paid back. In case there was no such clearly demarcated date of return of payment, the period of limitation would run from the last time the debtor had acknowledged the debt in question

First Issue the legal Notice if you cant then i can issue notice

If Replied not received then will go with Summary Suit in Civil Suit

Sir there is no special court for contesting these kind of cases but its a good case of fraud and cheating we need to file the case in the court and get the warrant issued against the accused kindly contact me for further discussion

As per your narration, it is a case of cheating. You can file a police complaint against the person in the concerned police station and can also proceed appropriately against him for recovery of money .
