How to get gun license delhi ?

Documents Required for Gun License Delhi:
- Application form duly filled.
- Four passport-size photographs (self-attested on the back side). One should be pasted on the application form and one on the affidavit.
- Undertaking as per the required format.
- Medical certificate issued by a registered MBBS doctor (not required for Armed Forces, Police, and Paramilitary forces personnel).
- Self-attested copy of date of birth proof (e.g., Matriculation Certificate, School Leaving Certificate, Passport, etc.).
- Proof of residence (e.g., recent electricity bill, water bill, telephone bill, driving license, passport, tax return, or property/house tax documents).
- Posting-cum-residence certificate/recommendation from a Commanding/Supervisory Gazetted Officer (for Armed Forces and Paramilitary forces personnel).
- Financial status proof (Income Tax Return (ITR) or salary slip).
- In case of threat, attach a copy of FIR/Complaint to justify the threat.
- For inheritance transfer of a weapon:
- Arms license of the deceased or transferor.
- Consent affidavit of the license holder intending to transfer the weapon.
- If the license holder is deceased, an indemnity bond from the applicant and NOCs from other legal heirs.
- If the weapon is a Non-Service Pattern (NSP) weapon, approval from DGO’s Office, DHQ, Delhi is required.
- For employees/service personnel:
- NOC from the department.
- Proof of official address.
- Date of retirement order (for government servants, army, police, CPO personnel).
- Security guards must submit an undertaking from their employer about the requirement and training.
- For businessmen:
- Documents such as MCD/NDMC/Delhi Cantonment Registration Certificate, Sales Tax receipt, Service Tax receipt, VAT receipt.
- Annual income and turnover details.
- Daily cash transactions record.
- Number of employees.
The application form along with the required documents can be submitted at the Licensing Unit on any working day from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. You can download sample forms from the official website or obtain them from the Licensing Unit.
