Yes, it is possible to file a complaint against someone in another state in India, but it requires attention to jurisdiction. Generally, a complaint criminal or civil should be filed where the cause of action occurred or where the defendant resides.

For criminal matters, a Zero FIR can be registered at any local police station, even if the offense occurred in another state. Once registered, the FIR is transferred to the appropriate police station with jurisdiction over the case, which will then conduct the investigation. In civil matters, complaints are usually filed in the defendant?s state, though courts may allow transfers in certain circumstances to facilitate the proceedings.

HI You should file a complaint under Karwan police station against the person who lives in Bikaner, Rajasthan File a complaint under Karwan police station. Please note that if the police find that your complaint merits investigation, will forward the case to the Magistrate for taking cognizance and thereafter the Police will travel to Bikaner at State government expense and get custody of the guy. so you need not worry about where the accuses is living.

Hello, If you have been cheated in Feb 2016, why are you silent since more than 1 year? Approach the police station immediately and lodge a complaint against the person for cheating and criminal breach of trust. Get the police register an FIR against that person and arrest that person as both the sections are cognizable and non bailable. However, if the police not helping you, you can file a private complaint before the concerned magistrate court and request the court to direct the police to register an FIR and proceed according to law and take action. You can contact me if you need any help.

the jurisdiction of the criminal complaint will be defined under section 176 of the code of criminal procedure and hence please see whether the transactions you have send would attract the jurisdiction of Hyderabad as you paid at Hyderabad account and hence complaint to be filed in Hyderabad and to be executed in bikkinar after obtaining warrant
