How to dismiss an attempt to suicide case?

03-Oct-2023 (In Criminal Law)
This incident happened today itself. She is now out of danger. Police came at the hospital for statement, she said " I committed suicide because my boyfriend is marrying another girl , they had relation for more than 5 years." The police called his boyfriend and talked with him and returned back suggesting to change the statement or else she will also be punished under the section 309 and sentence for long as one year imprisonment. According to me that police officer had a deal with her boyfriend and now just provoking to revoke the statement and said he will come tomorrow for the statement again. Now according to me section 309 attempted suicide is no more a crime. All I want to know is how and what action can be taken against her boyfriend for provoking her to commit suicide. my sister-in-law , her mom and elder sister are only the members of her family, she lost her father in plane crash in 1997.

It's a tricky situation. What is the age of girl? Is she minor or major ? If minor then you have a case. But if she is major, then get the girl understand that all the hell she is facing due to act of her boyfriend. Otherwise you can't compel or force the girl to make a statement as per her family wish.
