How to change the investigation officer in West bengal ?
13-Feb-2023 (In Criminal Law)
My case is in West Bengal. Iam in delhi.Since from the beginning the IO is playing with us. We sent one complain letter against IO to the senior officials but nothing changed.I told my lawyer to submit one application in the court to change IO. He said that the complainant has to come personally for this as this is a criminal case. Is he right ? Can it be done thru waqalatnama by my advocate ? Pls help
If the IO is not listening to you and is just wasting time then you can teach him/her a lesson by complaining to the magistrate under whose the case is pending. There you can write a application for change of IO and the advocate can also file the same on the basis of vakalatnama. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
