Help Required for a harassment case filed against coperative housin

19-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I was the managing committee member of a coperative housing society form the year 2008-2013.We constructed a society office did some concreting work in the society premises. The person who filed the case went to the civil court instead of the registrar and filed a case.He alleged irregularities in the above work on the basis the audit for that FY was not cleared. The audit was not cleared since he went and raised a question with the auditor.Subsequently we provided clarifications and the audit report was cleared. The case was filed and it was a police case in 2013. The case is still going on and I have moved on to my native place .Every 3 months the case is scheduled and I normally travel to Mumbai. This year I couldn't travel and a warrant was issued. Can this person legally file a case on coperative housing society bypassing the registrar. What should we do with this pending case which is not heard and we are getting dates after dates.

you can go ahead to file quashing of FIR and if it is a private complaint then you can finish the trial and if you appoint a lawyer then only your case will start and you can end it as soon as possible

Well, I have to see the Case Petitions or Case Applications filed by this person in distinct other courts or forums bypassing the Registrar. Without seeing, verifying and evaluating such legal documents, legal advice cannot be given.
