harassment and threatening behaviour

08-May-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Some anti-social gangs are drinking and rioting in public near where i am staying, They also sell alcohol illegally, They continue to tease and mock me every day with provocative intent as i rebuked them. They also made death threats.I reported this to police. The police warned them. But they are currently engaged in the same activities again. Going back to the police station is of no avail as there are people in the police station who are well bonded with them. Kindly let me know what i need to do to take drastic action against them.

You need write a detailed complaint and send it by registered post with acknowledgement to the Commissioner of police and a copy to the local police station. If no action is taken then you need to get direction from the court to register your complaint. If you are female you can also call women protection cell.

First give a complaint to SP under whose jurisdiction your area lies. If there is no action taken, then you can approach a magistrate giving a complaint and then the police will be directed to investigate and give a report, this is the due process of law. But I suggest you to find someone higher police officer who has control over the particular station like SP, DIG or IGP and then give them the information regarding the happenings also send email to PMO, CM cell and DGP office, they may also notice this and take actions.
