Had signed an online agreement with Mumbai based online company

Had signed an online agreement with home based online job and now the company's lawyer is sending me legal notice and demanding to deposit certain amount. Is it scam or I should really take it seriously. Had just signed an online agreement and now they are repeatedly sending me notice and calling me. Charged under section 420 and section 406
Dear Client,
If a legal notice had been served upon you then definitely it is a serious matter, they call for an explanation if you do not reply adequately within the time frame then the company would proceed forward by lodging an FIR against you and by availing other alternate remedies.
