What is the procedure for filling the suit of defamation.

You will have to issue legal notice to the person who has defamed through your counsel calling upon him/her to give you the damages to the tune of (what ever appropriate you think) and an apology publicly etc failing which you may initiate legal proceedings civil as well as criminal.
