Girl stalking me even after legal court settlement to stay away

03-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
One girl is troubling me since 2 years. In June 2018 we had a legal court settlement in front of her parents & my parents. And we agreed that neither she nor me will ever contact each other (We have signed affidavit and submitted to court). The case was closed and I have a order copy. But she is still stalking me and writing email and posting letters to my home. I do not wish to go court again. Can I approach police and get it settled without filing any further cases.

Send a legal.notice to her first apprising that what she is doing is wrong and if she doesnt desist from continuing the same then you'll be free to take legal action against her. This might create a little pressure on her and she might stop troubling u.

Based on the facts that you have stated, I am sorry to tell you that there is no remedy in the Indian Law to protect you. You are paying the price of being a man. The provisions in the Indian Penal Code only protects the women. If you had been stalking here, she could have easily got you behind the bars by just making an FIR.

The only option that you have is to make a complaint application to the nearest Police Station along with the evidence that you have to show that she is stalking you.

Yes you can and mist before things go out of hand. Carry the court order (what kind if irder is that?) and the emails and ketter/ messages sent later by her. All these things will come handy if and when the mattrr is taken up before the concerned police
