GETTING BACK LAPTOP AND MOBILE

My stolen laptop/mobile got recovered and the culprit was also found , but the police said I can only get this after the case against the culpritis over, how is this helping me, as I am suffering now as laptop was provided by the company for work from home situation and police is telling this will take more than a month, so the law is in short punishing as now I have to go to court and ask police, what can else be done?

you have to make an application for return of property in the concerned court and you get you property returned back to you even if the case is finished or not and also even if the police is not ready to give you your property back in thats case

If it is recovered from accused then you have to get it released with the orders of court. You have to file an application under section 457 of criminal procedure before the magistrate and give details of the stolen items along with the proofs of your ownership. After 2-3 dates it will be...
