Friend joined Networking marketing company and it got closed

One of my office colleague has joined a network marketing company with me, he gave me money to register him which i have done. Now that marketing company got closed and my colleague is asking me to return his money otherwise he will file police case on me.I don't have his money i done his registration. Will i be guilty if he file case on me? Please advice me
